Puerto Rican super bantamweight contender Jesus Rojas (20-1-1, 15KO's) is pushing to secure the opportunity to challenge the WBA 'regular' super bantamweight (World Boxing Association) of the world, Britain's Scott Quigg (28-0-2, 21KO's). Quigg returns to action on September 13th in Manchester. No opponent has been finalized as of yet for Quigg.

"We have learned that the WBA champion Scott Quigg is looking for an opponent and they've failed to get one. We are here in Puerto Rico and we have Jesus Rojas, who is ready to enter the ring and face the champion," said the CEO of Universal Promotions, Javier Bustillo. "We can remove this concern from team Quigg. Jesus is ranked No. 9 by the WBA, there is no impediment in making this fight a reality. You just have to pick up the phone and communicate with me."

Rojas, who is coming off two solid victories, is the reigning Fedecentro super bantamweight of the WBA.

"We are ready for any challenge. I place my trust in my training and my work. I have only one goal in mind; to become a world champion," said Rojas.
