Diego Magdaleno and his father have informed BoxingScene.com that Diego's younger brother Jessie has been scratched from his April 11th fight against Cuauhtemoc Vargas. The younger Magdaleno brother has been bothered by inflamed tonsils and was advised not to go through with the fight. The fight was scheduled to take place at the Mandalay Bay on the ESPN Friday Night Fights undercard that features Gilberto Sanchez Ramirez against Giovanni Lorenzo and Jesse Hart against Samuel Clarkson.
Magdaleno is scheduled to see a doctor this week and according to his brother Diego, hopes to get clearance to return to the ring sometime in May.
