WBC junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo (30-0, 15 KOs) has no problem getting in the ring with Sheffield fighter Kell Brook (37-2, 26 KOs).

Brook returned to the ring last Saturday night, and easily knocked out Sergey Rabchenko in the second round for a WBC regional title. The victory boosted Brook's standing in the World Boxing Council's rankings and put him closer to a crack at Charlo's title.

The contest was Brook's first win in nearly two years, and his junior middleweight debut, after back to back knockout defeats at the hands of Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence.

Brook, who previously held the IBF world title at welterweight, is hungry to become a two-division world champion.

But Charlo is not likely going to be his next fight. Charlo is scheduled to defend his title, against an opponent to be determined, on June 9th in Los Angeles.

At the moment, there appears to be a path being built for a domestic showdown between Brook and his heated rival Amir Khan.

For the first time since their rivalry first began, both boxers are now promoted by the same man, Eddie Hearn, who wants to match them by the end of the year.

Charlo is not sure what would happen if Brook and Khan stepped in the ring with each other, but he's pretty confident that both are too small to compete with him.

"I don't know what will happen if they fight each other, but they're both easy for me to beat. I fight like a lion, they, especially Brook, are little guys. I stand at 6ft tall, walk around 171-172lbs lean, make 154lbs very easy and I have no need to move up," Charlo told Sky Sports.

"But if Kell's name is always in the running, why isn't Amir's over here then? He has been a good fighter, but I'll have either of them at 154lbs. Maybe in Dubai too. Is Amir up for that?"
