According to a recent report by boxing scribe Dan Rafael, promoter Lou DiBella is trying to put together an HBO doubleheader featuring middleweight champion Jermain Taylor and former multi-division champion Roy Jones, Jr.
Jones, who recently inked a promotional deal with DiBella, has already agreed to appear in the undercard position. The report notes that several details have to be worked out, including Jones' purse and an opponent that both Jones and HBO can agree on. Taylor would take on Contender star Sergio Mora in the main event.
The overall plan is to match Taylor and Jones in the Fall.
Should Jones fall through, another discussed undercard scenario is to pit undefeated Andre Ward against either of the Chin Checkers, Jaidon Codrington or Curtis Stevens.
