It was reported in the St. Petersburg Times that former super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy (22-1, 17KOs) has signed a deal with Golden Boy Promotions. It's a five-fight deal that runs through 2009.

Lacy has been on the shelf for a while after suffering a shoulder injury and going through surgery, but his return has been set for the undercard to Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Ricky Hatton on December 8 in Las Vegas. Lacy told the paper that he currently weighs 180-pounds, cut down a lot from his ballooned weight of over 200-pounds a few months ago.

The opponent will be announced at a late date.
