Japhethlee Llamido and Carlos Jackson will both look to distance themselves from recent defeats when they meet in an eight-round junior featherweight crossroads fight on Friday, April 4 at Red Owl Boxing Arena in Houston, Texas.

The fight will headline the next installment of Red Owl Boxing’s BOXFEST series, which airs live on DAZN, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

Llamido, 12-1 (4 KOs) and pictured, of Orange, California is looking for his second straight win since his first-round stoppage defeat to TJ Doheny in October of 2023, while Jackson, 20-2 (13 KOs), of Atlanta is coming off a fourth-round stoppage loss to Ryan Lee Allen last October.

The co-main event will feature Deonte Brown, 15-0 (11 KOs), meeting Leonardo Padilla, 24-7-1 (17 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight fight. Brown, 29,of Marietta, Georgia is coming off his best win to date, a ninth round stoppage of previously unbeaten Jesus Saracho, while the 29-year-old Padilla of Petare, Venezuela lost a decision to Kaipo Gallegos last month on Benavidez-Morrell undercard in Las Vegas.

Other matchups slated for the card include Francisco Javier Martinez, 7-1 (4 KOs), against Wayne Lawrence, 7-1 (4 KOs), in a six-round junior lightweight bout; Kenario Davidson, 1-0, against Martel Washpun, 2-0, in a four-round junior featherweight title; plus Gabriela Tellez, 4-0, against Lindsey Ellis, 2-2 (2 KOs), in a four-round junior lightweight fight.
