WBC female bantamweight champion Janeth Perez (17-0-2, 4KOs) will defend her title against undefeated challenger Irma Garcia (5-0-1, 1KO) on Saturday night at Deportivo del Sindicato del Metro in Mexico City. It will be Perez's fourth defense of the WBA title that she captured on July 16th, 2011 from Yolis Marrugo with a seventh round TKO.
The event will be the first show of 2013 to be promoted by Canelo Promotions. Jesus Silvestre defends his WBA interim-minimumweight title against veteran Ganigan Lopez.
