Jamie Moore will defend his EBU light-middleweight title against Ryan Rhodes at a venue yet-to-be-decided on the 23rd of October. Moore hopes that the fight with Rhodes will double as a final eliminator for the WBC world title.
The fight had been mooted last year, only to be seemingly flushed away when Moore moved onto the European scene earlier this year; Rhodes’ withdrawal from a proposed British title showdown with Anthony Small had further muddied the waters, with Ryan seemingly left in the wilderness.
Moore had told BoxingScene.com that the fight was in the offing, now that the small print has been ironed out the fighters will be prepare for an eagerly anticipated ‘Battle of Britain’, a battle that will have an impact on the world stage.
