Former British and European light middleweight champion, Jamie Moore, was reportedly shot in both legs over the weekend whilst in Spain.
Moore, a regular Sky Boxing pundit and one of the most popular faces in British boxing was in Marbella training former opponent and world title challenger Matthew Macklin in preparation for his fight on Aug 30 in Dublin.
The Manchester Evening News reported that Moore has now left the hospital in what is a supposed case of mistaken identity. A spokesman for the Foreign Office had confirmed to the MEN that a British national had been shot over the weekend.
Moore, forever known as one of the sport's great British warriors has already received well wishes from friends like Ricky Hatton and numerous supporters on Twitter. It goes without saying that everyone at BoxingScene.com wishes him a speedy recovery.
