Jamie Cox has been released from his promotional agreement.
The Swindon man (21-0, 12 KOs), who is a former Commonwealth super-welterweight titlist, confirmed the news on social media.
Cox, 30, has been out of the ring since last October when he outpointed Martin Fidel Rios over 10 rounds in Bolton.
But his stuttering yet promising career has seen him take in a few sideline spells through injury as well as 26 weeks spent in prison for common assault.
His former girlfriend accused the fighter of breaking into her home and attacking her, but he appealed the conviction and it was overturned by Croydon Crown Court in May of last year
That left the former WBO European super-middleweight king free to continue in the game, but he and Queensberry Promotions –– headed by Frank Warren –– have confirmed their parting of ways.
“I have been released by Queensberry Promotions Limited on confidential commercial terms,” Cox tweeted on Thursday afternoon.
No further statements will be made from either party.
