James DeGale says he wouldn't have a problem fighting WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch.
British champ DeGale has been linked with a world title fight later this year.
And although Froch is much more experienced, DeGale insists that he would be happy to tackle the Nottingham star.
"Obviously I'd say I'm going to win if I fight Carl. You never know, in 18 months' time it could happen," DeGale told The Sun.
"When the Super Six is done, it would be a great, great fight for the British public. With the way I'm going, and if Carl wins the Super Six, it would be an excellent fight.
"It's hard to know what the future holds but there will be an announcement about my next fight very soon — and it'll be exciting!"
