Jake Paul, preparing for his December 19 bout with Anthony Joshua, has uploaded a picture indicating that he’s taking the contest as seriously as he needs to.
Plenty fear for the safety of the novice cruiserweight when he faces two-time world champion Joshua in Miami.
It is believed Joshua has aspirations that stretch far beyond Miami in December, and into Riyadh in February and maybe a soccer stadium showdown with Tyson Fury in the summer.
But Paul, obviously, has outlandish ideas of his own and has uploaded a picture of him with heavyweight contenders Jared Anderson, Frank Sanchez and Lawrence Okolie, the former WBO world cruiserweight champion.
“Good rounds today,” wrote Paul on his social media, three weeks out from the fight.
Joshua is 36 years old and has won 28 of his 32 bouts, 25 by stoppage.
Paul, 28, is 12-1 (7 KOs), and they are due to fight on Netflix at the Kaseya Center in Miami in an eight-round bout.
Plenty still don’t believe the authenticity of the bout, but Joshua has promised to wipe out The Problem Child and MVP, Paul’s promotional arm, are leaning into the uncertainty.
“They keep saying it’s not real,” said an MVP Instagram post. “”It’s not happening, Jake Paul is not fighting Anthony Joshua. Well 21 days to go. #JakeJoshua Do you believe it?”
