It has been almost two years since Jaime Ocegueda last appeared in a ring.

He will break that spell tonight when he faces Ricardo Maldonado in a six round bout at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, Calif.

Ocegueda (9-0-1, 6 KOs), who resides in nearby East Los Angeles, last fought on October 18, 2014. He survived a fifth round knockdown to stop Moris Rodriguez in the sixth and final round.

Ocegueda's fight tonight against Maldonado will mark the second time he has faced someone with a winning record.

Maldonado (6-5-1) fought to a technical draw in his last bout on June 24. The bout was stopped in the second round when his opponent, Manuel Mendez, was unable to continue after suffering a cut above his right eye from an accidental clash of heads.

Maldonado has also faced unbeaten prospects Eric Altamirano, Ray Lampkin, and Jonathan Alonso.

Once-beaten junior welterweights Abraham Lopez (5-1-1, 1 KO) and Edgar Nava (4-1, 2 KOs) clash in a six round bout.

Junior lightweight Jarret Jeter (4-0-1, 1 KO) faces Vincent Jennings (5-1-1, 4 KO) in a six round bout.

Lightweight Julian Rodarte (6-0, 3 KOs) will fight Mario Aguirre (2-3, 2 KOs) in a four round welterweight bout.

Six more fights will round out the All Star Boxing Promotions card.
