Daniel Jacobs cannot envision Peter Quillin beating him.

Quillin (32-0-1, 23 KOs) is a former WBO middleweight title-holder and a friend, but Jacobs (30-1, 27 KOs) just doesn’t think “Kid Chocolate” can win their 12-round fight for Jacobs’ WBA middleweight championship Dec. 5 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (Showtime).

“I’m a better all-around fighter than him,” Jacobs told BoxingScene.com following a press conference Wednesday in New York to officially announce their fight. “I feel I have the better arsenal, the background. He might have the experience, as far as going the distance and in world championship fights. But as far as talent goes, I feel like I’ve got a lot [more than] him.”

The 28-year-old Jacobs is 3-1 (2 KOs) in world title fights. The former New York Golden Gloves champion most recently defeated Sergio Mora (28-4-2, 9 KOs), who suffered an ankle injury in the second round after Jacobs dropped him for the second time in their Aug. 1 fight at Barclays Center.

The 32-year-old Quillin is 4-0-1 (2 KOs) in world title fights.
