Jack Cullen is very motivated to face the more experienced Jason Quigley, in a potential fight that may take place at the Matchroom headquarters in Essex, as part of Eddie Hearn's closed door cards in July and August.
Cullen was scheduled to face Quigley at the Manchester Arena on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s clash with Alexander Povetkin.
The Whyte vs. Povetkin showdown is slated to be one of the shows to take place at Matchroom's HQ.
At the moment, Whyte-Povetkin could land in August.
And Quigley has been telling the Irish media that he expects to face Cullen in August.
Cullen has studied some of Quigley's fights and he believes the contest is very winnable.
“It would be nice, I won’t say no to any fight,” said Cullen to Bolton News.
“It got talked about a bit ago after my last fight and then he’s come out and said the fight is on. That’s the first I’ve heard of it but I’m more than ready for it. August is bang on for me. I’ll fight anybody as long as I’ve got enough time. I’ll get in the ring with anyone.
“When we got told about him I sat down and watched some of his fights and he’s beatable. Tommy’s (Battel, trainer) confident as well. We thought he might have been my last fight (victory over Tomas Reynoso on March 7) so we were going to be ready for him then. We’ve almost already done a training camp for him and I was more than ready for him. It’s going to be a brilliant fight because both of us are going in there to win.”
