Jack Catterall will return to the ring in the spring.
The Chorley super lightweight (14-0, 9 KOs), who has been out of action since December at the Manchester Arena, will come back at the Macron Stadium.
Catterall, 22, is set to face Joe Hughes in a final eliminator for the British title and a defence of his WBO Inter-Continental belt on May 13.
Hughes, the 25-year-old English champion from Marlmesbury in Wiltshire, boasts a 14-1 (6 KOs) record and is on a 10-fight winning streak since dropping a decision to Joe Elfidh four years ago.
Last time out, ‘El Gato’, who is trained and managed by Lee Beard and promoted by Frank Warren, stopped Noe Nuñez Rodriguez inside three rounds, while orthodox puncher Hughes outpointed previously undefeated Anthony Upton in a defence of the national belt he won last July.
And Catterall is ecstatic to be fighting so close to his hometown.
He took to social media and wrote on his Facebook page: “[This fight] feels like a homecoming.
“[I] hope [everyone] can come out and support me.”
Elsewhere on the card, which will be aired exclusively live on BoxNation, former world super welterweight title challenger Jimmy Kelly Jr. (16-1, 7 KOs) makes his comeback in an eight-round contest.
