Filipino Jack Asis has suffered a fourth round knockout at the hands of Thailand’s Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym  while flyweight Philip Parcon lost a unanimous six round decision to Wandee Singwancha at the Laksi Plaza in Bangkok.

The 26 year old Poonsawat had a record of 29-1 with 20 knockouts going into the fight with Asis who had a record of 16-7-1 with 6 knockouts and was obviously no match for the Thai champion who had won his last five fights by stoppage, 4 by KO and 1 by TKO.

Among Poonsawat’s victims were Jonathan Ba at who was knocked out in the second round of a PABA title fight on September 8, 2006 and Pedrito Laurente who was also KO’d in the second round of a  PABA championship on December 19 last year. In his last fight on June 21, 2007 Poonsawat scored a first round KO win over Sonny Manakane to retain his PABA crown.

Asis, on the other hand was coming off a unanimous twelve round decision loss to another Thai fighter, Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo (18-0, 9 KO’s) in a WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweight title fight last April 13.

Wandee who won a twelve round unanimous decision over reigning OPBF light flyweight champion Juanito Rubillar in a WBC title eliminator on July 18, 2006 was also too good for Parcon who, according to boxrec.com had a record of 7-13-2 with 2 knockouts as against Wandee’s record of 52-8-1 with 11 knockouts.
