Ivan Calderon (35-2-1 and 6KO's) was waiting until April 28th to challenge Mexico's Moises Fuentes (14-1, 6 KO's) for the WBO's minimumweight title, but the veteran boxer from Puerto Rico has advised BoxingScene.com that his bout with Fuentes is being pushed back to a date in late May.
"There was a change of date. We are discussing the end of next month. It was going to be for the 28th of April but the Sports Palace in Mayagüez was not available and it was very close to the Juanma Lopez fight [March 10]," Calderon said.
Calderon was the longtime WBO champion at 105-pounds, before moving up for a run at 108 and losing two fights with Giovani Segura.
