WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan Calderon weighed 112.5-pounds with one week to go before he defends his title against Filipino Rodel Mayol. The fight takes place on the Miguel Cotto-Joshua Clottey undercard on June 13 at New York's Madison Square Garden.

"There is no issue with the weight. I's already 112, slightly less than required by the Boxing Commission. Physically I feel good. I'm not going hungry. I am eating well and by Monday I hope to get to New York and weigh at least 111 to play around with the weight during the final week," Calderon said to Primera Hora.

Calderon will do some running around once he gets to New York. He plans to do everything he can to promote the his fight,

"I will be involved in a lot of activities, talking to the press to help sell the event. But I do not want to conflict with completing my training and not allowing me to be at my best during my first fight in in New York. Rodel Mayol is my only focus and on June 12 I will be at the weight of 108 pounds," Calderon said.
