WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan Calderon (32-0, 6KOs) may see action on the undercard to Miguel Cotto-Michael Jennings at New York's Madison Square Garden on February 21. The fight would appear on the Top Rank pay-per-view undercard. Kelly Pavlik defends his middleweight titles against Marco Antonio Rubio in Youngstown on the split-feed pay-per-view card.
According to Peter Rivera of Puerto Rico Best Boxing, Calderon's co-promoter, a deal for Calderon to appear on the undercard is in talks. No opponent has been mentioned.
"I've been give the impression that [Calderon's return] will be on February 21 and we are expecting that Top Rank place the Calderon's fight on the same card as Cotto", Rivera told El Nuevo Dia.
