WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon is keeping his fingers crossed that IBF champion Brian Viloria beats Omar "Nino" Romero without injury on December 5 in the Philippines. Viloria has been talking with Top Rank, who also promote Viloria, about a unification bout in early 2010.
"We are talking about [my next fight] being against Viloria. The idea was presented to Top Rank and they liked it, and it's something I want. If I lose, at least I can say it was against a champion. There was some discussion about moving back down to 105-pounds. The business is where the names are," said Calderon to Primera Hora.
Calderon also said that he would not rule out a jump in weight to 112.
