Former champion Israel Vazquez took a look at one of the biggest fights in the featherweight division, Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Rafael Marquez. He sees it as an "interesting" fight and says experience will be a big factor in the contest.
"I have a lot of respect for Juan Manuel, but he has not fought against a high level of opposition. A boxer with the resources of Rafael, will force Lopez to utilize his experience from the amateurs. It's going to be a test for Rafael in the sense that he is going to wanted to show what he can do," Vazquez told Primera Hora.
He's not sure if the fight will ever happen. It all depends on the negotiations with the promoters.
"It would be an interesting fight. It all depends on whether their respective promoters can reach an agreement. It's only natural for a young boxer like López to have the desire to fight a veteran like Marquez. It's always interesting to see a battle of youth vs. experience," Vazquez said.
