Boxing returns to the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California on Saturday night with two light heavyweights from the Ukraine looking to become full-fledge contenders later this year.
Anatoliy Dudchenko will fight Sabou Ballagou in a scheduled 10 round bout at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, CA.
Also on the card will be the return of contender Ismayl Sillakh. He will fight Daniel Adotey Allotey in a scheduled eight round bout.
Both bouts will headline a seven-bout “Live Boxing” card, presented by All Star Boxing Promotions.
Dudchenko (17-2, 12 KOs), who hails from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, has won his last 14 bouts in a row, albeit against mostly lesser opposition. In his last fight on November 17th, Dudchenko stopped once-beaten Tyrell Hendrix after the seventh round.
Ballagou (8-6, 3 KOs) resides in Paris, France, but is originally from the west African country of Togo.
His is winless in his last three bouts. In his most recent bout on November 9th against Radivoje Kalajdzic was declared a no contest during the third round.
In the eight round co-feature bout, light heavyweight contender Ismayl Sillakh will fight Daniel Adotey Allotey of Ghana.
It will be Sillakh’s first fight since an eighth round technical knockout at the hands of Denis Grachev on April 27th. Sillakh (17-1, 14 KOs) hopes to bounce and regain that status as one of the top light heavyweights in the world prior to being stopped by Grachev.
Allotey (14-3, 7 KOs), from Accra, Ghana, was knocked out by Yunieski Gonzalez in his last fight on November 9th. In his only other meaningful bout, he was stopped by George Groves in the fourth round in March of 2011.
Also appearing on the card will be lightweight Irving Garcia (9-1, 5 KOs) of Oxnard, CA. He will fight Pasadena CA’s Osman Rivera (2-4) in a scheduled six round bout. Light heavyweight Vyacheslav Shabransky (6-2) will fight Limmie Young (10-2, 3 KOs) in a scheduled four round bout.
Three more bouts are scheduled to round out the card.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, with first bell scheduled for 7:45PM. For tickets and information, contact All Star Boxing at (323) 816-6200 or (323) 781-4871.
