Jermain Taylor is scheduled to return to the ring on December 30th. The former middleweight champion hasn't fought since getting knocked out by Arthur Abraham in October of 2009 in the opening round of Showtime's Super Six super middleweight tournament.
Taylor's comeback is taking place in the middleweight division which is where most of his fights and all of his success has taken place.
A few different names have been mentioned as possible opponents. Former Contender series participant Ishe Smith reached out to BoxingScene to add his name to the mix.
Smith knocked out Alexander Quiroz in the 2nd round of his last ring appearance which took place in November of last year.
"I heard that Jermain Taylor needs an opponent for December 30th. I am willing and ready to fill in if they call me. All they have to do is make the call," said Smith.
