BoxingScene.com has been advised that a possible junior middleweight bout between Ishe Smith (21-4, 9KOs) and ex-champion Kassim Ouma (26-7, 16KOs) is being discussed for the Amir Khan-Paulie Malignaggi undercard on May 15 at the WaMu Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden.
The contracts have yet to be signed, but I've been told by reliable sources that both fighters have accepted the opportunity. Smith has been inactive since last August's decision loss to Daniel Jacobs, at middleweight. Ouma returns from a close decision loss to unbeaten Vanes Martirosyan.
