BoxingScene.com caught up with Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy following his big win over Rubin Williams. Lacy spoke to us about his bout with Williams, a December bout with Joe Calzaghe and a possible move to the light heavyweight division.

BoxingScene: You seemed like you wanted to go toe to toe with this guy from the start, did you want to put him away early?

Lacy: The fans want to see a fight and I come to fight. I wanted to put a lot of pressure on him early and slowly break him down. Fans come to see action and I give them action every time I fight.

BoxingScene: He caught you with several big right hands in the fight and utilized a good jab, did he ever frustrate you or have you in hurt?

Lacy: I was never frustrated, he was quick with his hands, but he never had me hurt. He threw his jab, it wasnt a strong jab, he was real lazy with the jab and I was able to counter his jab and get inside and hit him with power punches.

BoxingScene: Some of the people at ringside were amazed that You walked through several of those big right hands he landed.

Lacy: He throws a good punch, a lot of those punches were nothing more then slaps. I have a good chin so I can take a shot. I wanted to keep the pressure on him and everytime he landed a punch I just stayed on top of him.

BoxingScene: You said after the fight that you wanted to fight Joe Calzaghe, when can we expect that fight?

Lacy: I'm looking to fight Calzaghe at the end of the year in December. I have a mandatory fight that I have to get past first and then my full focus will be on Joe.

BoxingScene: If for some reason you are not able to get the Calzaghe fight, what would your future plans be?

Lacy: If I can't get Calzaghe then I'll fight one of the other champions in the division. My goal is to unify all the titles at 168, I'll fight any of the other champions.

BoxingScene: Would you ever consider moving up to 175 pounds and facing either Glen Johnson or Antonio Tarver?

Lacy: Anything could happen, but not anytime soon. I have a mandatory fight coming up, hopefully I'll fight Calzaghe in December and then I want to unify the division. Once I unify all the titles at 168, I'll take a look at some possible fights at light heavyweight.
