EBU light heavyweight champion Igor Mikhalkin (17-1, 9KOs) retained the title earlier tonight in  Clermont Ferrand (France) with a unanimous decision over Hugo Kasperski (26-6-1, 19KOs)). After twelve it was scored 117-111, 117-111 and 116-113.

Kasperski was off to a good start but had no answer when Mikhalkin upped his workrate and Iogr´s promoter Erol Ceylan felt his man won every round.

The loss snaps a five fight win streak for Kasperski. Mikhalkin on the other hand has now won six fights in a row, since suffering his sole career defeat in 2010, by decision, to Aleksy Kuziemski.
