EBU light heavyweight champion Igor Mikhalkin (17-1) defends the title on March 12 in Paris and the opponent is Medhi Amar (reigning EU ruler and 34-4-2). This is Mikhalkin´s third straight fight in France and this far he is 2-0.
With Mikhalkin on the trip is his Swedish stablemate Adrian Granat, a rising heavyweight prospect with a 10-0 record.
The show in Paris is promoted by MK Event headed by Malamine Kone.
The fight captured the EBU championship in 2014 with a technical decision win over Mohamed Belkacem. He made the first defense last March with a TKO of Hakim Chioui, and then came back in October with a twelve round decision victory over Hugo Kasperski.
