Hard-hitting middleweight Ievgen Khytrov demonstrated he can box for multiple rounds in his last fight.
It is a scary thought, considering Khytrov has devastating power in each hand, making him that much well-rounded and dangerous.
The unbeaten Ukrainian will return to action on April 10 at the Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn, N.Y., promoter Lou DiBella told Boxingscene.com over the weekend.
Khytrov will fight in an eight round bout, likely against unbeaten Aaron Coley. The bout will be broadcast live on Showtime as part of its "ShoBox: The New Generation' series.
Khytrov (9-0, 9 KOs) stopped Jorge Melendez in the eighth round of his las bout on Friday night in Las Vegas, Nev. Khytrov was mostly in control of the bout, stunning Melendez in the sixth round and eventually dropping the Puerto Rican fighter in the eighth round.
If Khytrov does end up fighting Coley, he will face a fighter who has fought only one fighter with a winning record. In his last bout on October 11, Coley (9-0-1, 6 KOs) knocked out Loren Myers in the fifth round.
Also scheduled to fight on the DiBella Entertainment card are unbeaten prospects Ivan Redkach and Frank Galarza in separate bouts.
The 'ShoBox' card will not be the only fight card taking place in Brooklyn-area that weekend. The following evening, the 'Premier Boxing Champions' card will take place at the Barclays Center. The Danny Garcia-Lamont Peterson and Peter Quillin-Andy Lee bouts will be televised live on NBC.
