The Sun-Sentinel reports that Boris Grinberg, manager of heavyweight Sultan Ibragimov, is planning to file a protest with the Florida Boxing Commission over the scoring of last Friday's IBF elimination between his fighter and Ray Austin.
The heavyweights fought a close battle that saw both men score a knockdown during the contest. The final scores were 114-112 for Austin, 115-111 for Ibragimov and 113-113 for the draw.
"It is very disappointing and very difficult situation with Don King," said Grinberg. "They robbed this fighter. They figure there is a lot of money to be made, so let's have a rematch. Sultan said he is ready to fight next month, he understands what happened. It is another step for us to understand this business of professional boxing and why there are not so many great champions in this country.
"Everyone who was here understands what happened. Sultan won nine, 10 rounds and lost maybe two. ... Sultan is disappointed because he is an honest guy and he does not like to be robbed."
The winner was going to receive a future shot at IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.
