These guys are not as well known as the Klitschko brothers, but the Ibragimov cousins are making a name for themselves as rising prospects. Today's card at The Theater located in Madison Square Garden showed the fans some old faces and some new names.
The main event saw undefeated heavyweight Sultan Ibragimov take a step up in class and stop Al "Ice" Cole in three rounds. Ibragimov controlled the bout from the start and a well placed left hook to the body started the pain that would send Cole to the deck in the third. Cole got up and got some more punishment which led to the ref stopping the fight.
Shannon Briggs made his return to the heavyweight ranks, looking for one last title shot as he dropped Demetrice King with a right-cross in the second round, the challenger beat the count and Briggs unleashed more power shots. The ref stopped the fight and Briggs is now on the comeback trail.
Undefeated heavyweight Timur Ibragimov showed that he has some deadly force in his right hand, he blasted Ronald Bellamy right on the button and put him to sleep in the third round. Bellamy was so badly out of it that paramedics had to stretcher him out of the ring.
A fighter you thought you would never see again is back, former featherweight champion Kevin Kelley made his return and took out challenger Felix St. Kitts in 8 rounds. St. Kitts was totally outclassed in this fight. Kelley dropped him with a good left in the 7th round , but Kitts made it out. The 8th saw Kelley put the pressure on and give Kitts a minor beating until the corner of Kitts threw in the towel.
