Triple world champion and current lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Humberto Soto, has opened up his high altitude training camp in the Mexican state of Temoaya, where he prepares for the next defense of his title, which is giong to be held on the 25th of June.
Accompanied by his representative Antonio Lozada, his trainer Romulo Quirarte Jr. and undefeated champion and super lightweight stablemate, Antonio "Cañitas" Lozada, "Zorrita" Soto began working hard and started off with morning run in the Otomi Ceremonial Center and then training with machines in the afternoon at the Municipal Temoaya Gym, which is owned renowned trainer Tiburcio Garcia.
Soto and his team arrived in the State of Mexico on Tuesday, where they were received by Televisa, the network to broadcast the next defense of "Zorrita" Soto on 25 June.
The venue and the exact opponent for Soto (55-7-2, 32 KOs) will be announced at a press conference very soon. In both cases negotiations are very advanced.
On the same card, some of the boxers to appear on behalf of of Baja Boxing include welterweight Antonio "Cañitas" Lozada (23-0, 20 KOs) and Bantamweight David "Morita" De la Mora (23-0, 16 KOs), Arturo "Fuerte" Badillo (20-1, 18 KOs) and Julio César "Kitty" Felix (15-3-0, 6 KOs).
