Former multi-division champion Humberto Soto (56-7-2, 33 KOs) has inked a promotional agreement with Golden Boy Promotions. Pictured below with Golden Boy Vice President Eric Gomez, Soto displays his new contract agreement. Soto recently vacated his WBC lightweight belt and made a move to 140-pounds. The contract with Golden Boy is reportedly for five years.
Earlier this year, Soto broke away from Top Rank and Zanfer Promotions - but Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum had advised BoxingScene.com that Soto's contract had actually expired years ago and his Top Rank appearances were being pushed through Zanfer. As we reported a while back, Soto was planning to sign with Golden Boy in order to secure several key fights - with Erik Morales being at the top of the list.
