Humberto Soto is already in Tepic for his ten round rematch with Colombian Fidel Monterrosa, which takes place this Saturday at the Palenque de Gallos in the city Nayarit. Soto can not afford to lose, because he's set to defend the lightweight crown of the World Boxing Council against Antillón Urban, who was granted a rematch on May 7 in Las Vegas.
Humberto (54-7-2, 32 triturados) came with his team headed by his representative, Antonio "Cañitas" Lozada, trainer Romulo Quirarte and his trusted doctor Román Cruz. Monterrosa (25-2-0, 19 KOs) against Soto is promoted by Zanfer and will be televised by TV Azteca.
The champion said he expected a landslide victory.
"Last time (in Culiacan, in last September) I faced Monterrosa I found his style to be very difficult, but this time I prepared thoroughly to fight him on any level. I feel strong. I am convinced that now I won't let it go the distance," Soto said. "My preparation was a hundred percent because I know he will come to the ring better prepared. I must keep winning because this is a very important fight for me."
In the co-feature, super flyweight Alberto "Topo" Rosas (32-6-0, 26 KOs) will have a rematch with Everardo "Zihua" Morales (34-15-2, 23 KOs).
