The lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Humberto Soto, has arrived in Toluca, Mexico, where all of the concentration for his next defense will happen for about a month at the Otomi Ceremonial Center.

"Zorrita" (53-7, 32 KOs) will start the fitness stage of his training in preparation for his defense that is scheduled for Saturday, December 4 in Anaheim, against the California-based Chihuahua boxer, Urbano Antillon ( 28-1-0, 20 KOs), who last May won the right to contest for the title after defeating Nicaraguan René "Chirizo" Gonzalez in an ordered elimination bout.

Soto was accompanied by his representative, Antonio "Cañas" Lozada, and next week will be joined by coach Romulo Quirarte Jr., who will travel with the sparring partners Pavel Miranda and Hector Velazquez.

During his first week there, Humberto Soto will race in the morning at the height of the mountains and work in the afternoon. Next week he will begin sparring and hard mitt work. For "Zorrita" this will be the third defense of his world championship this year, after beating Richard "Baldy" Dominguez in May and Colombian Fidel Monterrosa in September.

In the main event of the December 4 card at the Honda Center, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will take on Alfonso Gomez.
