According to Robert Garcia, trainer of unbeaten lightweight puncher Brandon Rios, a potential fight with WBC champion Humberto Soto has already been discussed for early 2011. Rios and Soto will both appear in separate bouts on Top Rank's upcoming pay-per-view on December 4. If Soto retains his title against Urbano Antillon, and Rios beats Noe Balanos, the two could possibly meet in February or March of next year.

"[Top Rank Promotions] CEO Bob Arum has talked to him about it for next year. Their both going to fight on the Dec. 4 card, and I'm being told that in February or March of next year, they're going to be fighting each other," said Garcia. "Brandon's already sparring and running with Antonio Margarito."
