Los Mochis, Sinaloa - And the battle continues... After the exciting and controversial decision that came down in their May fight, Hugo "Cuatito" Ruiz (28-1, 25KOs) and Francisco "Panchito" Arce (31-7-3, 22KOs) will meet again on the 15th October at the Centenario Stadium where they expect a full house. On Friday morning, co-promoters Zanfer and HG Boxing and Sampson Promotion, officially announced the fight for Ruiz's WBA interim-bantamweight title.
Ruiz-Arce II is expected to draw the same kind of sparks as their first meeting, which took place on May 15 in Los Mochis. The champion was dropped twice, but managed to score two knockdowns of his own and won a twelve round unanimous decision.
"I will beat Arce more clearly than I did in May, where I dominated him for the entire fight, despite my two knockdowns. This time my victory will be more clearer," Ruiz said.
While the younger brother of "Travieso" Arce promised to knock Ruiz out before the fight reaches the judges.
"There is no need to go to the cards. I do not want another surprise. I'll be trying to knock him out from the very first round. I'm going to end up knocking Cuatito out," said Arce.
