Hugo Hernan Garay Retains Title, Decisions Brähmer

At the Stadthalle in Rostock, Germany, WBA light heavyweight champion Hugo Hernan Garay (32-3, 17 KOs) won a unanimous twelve round unanimous decision over Jürgen Brähmer (31-2, 25 KOs) to retain his title. The scores were 118-110, 117-112 and 116-115.

After some fireworks in the early rounds with both trading power punches at close range, Garay began to wear Brähmer down as the fight went along and was well ahead on the cards by the time they entered the tenth round. Brähmer, never stopped trying, or punching, but was not busy enough to win some of the closer rounds.
