WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (34-1, 25 KOs) has the gift of gab. He took a shot at Alexander Povetkin's former trainer, Teddy Atlas of the United States. Huck challenges Povetkin (23-0, 16 KOs) for the WBA's "regular" heavyweight title on February 25th in Germany. Atlas guided Povetkin to a world championship in 2011, but a dispute over the training camp location was the cause for Atlas to remain in the United States, while Povetkin trains in Russia under experienced coach Alexander Zimin.
Huck has his own theory on why Atlas stayed in America.
"Atlas found a way out, because he wanted to avoid the embarrassment of Povetkin's failure in the fight with me. He did it out of fear," Huck said.
