Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov is planning to make another serious run to secure the promotional rights to a Wladimir Klitschko (61-3, 51KOs) fight. Klitschko is looking to defend his IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles against mandatory challenger Alex Leapai (30-4-3, 24KOs), likely on the tentative date of March 8th in Germany.

If the fight heads to a purse bid, Hryunov intends to bid on the fight. Klitschko and Leapai have until January 3 to reach an agreement.

If Hyrunov wins, he wants to stage the fight in Germany or Australia. For Klitschko's October fight in Russia against Alexander Povetkin, Hryunov bid a huge $23.2 million dollars to secure the promotional rights.
