Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov is planning to speak with UFC President Dana White about Moscow hosting a possible fight between 44-year-old former champion Roy Jones Jr. (56-8, 40KOs) and former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (33-5 in MMA, 16-1 in the UFC), 38-years-old.
A few months ago, Chris Weidman (10-0) knocked out Silva in the second round, snapping Silva's near seven year undefeated run and 16-0 streak in the UFC. Their rematch is scheduled to take place later this month. Jones also returns later this month in Moscow.
"Both fighters have long voiced a desire to fight each other - said Hryunov. "Therefore, if both prevail in their fights scheduled for December, why not fight in Moscow? The UFC has already voiced their plans to come to Russia, and this fight could be a terrific main event of the show."
Jones will see action on December 21 in Moscow at the Dynamo Arena.
