Japan's Kenichi Horikawa is very motivated for his fight against Edgar Sosa, the WBC international title flyweight champion, which takes place on "Battle of Champions" on April 2 at the Arena Mexico. Horikawa was reported to be in great shape for the bout and said that he wants to honor his country of Japan after the tragedy that devastated parts of the land.

"I'm over the shock and now I will go to Mexico with extra motivation because I will fight for the honor of my people, because I want to give joy to everyone in Japan who is suffering," said Horikawa.

He said that at 112 pounds he will have no trouble making weight. "At flyweight I'll feel stronger. It will certainly be a great fight. In my country, Sosa is considered a hero because he beat my comrade Okubo, who is a very tough fighter. I'll leave my soul in the ring to find victory. I feel the obligation of coming to provide the best fight of my career and to snatch the belt from Sosa."
