Former three division champion Bernard Hopkins has confirmed through a variety of social networks that he reached a deal to challenge WBC/IBO light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal on December 18. The fight is likely taking place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The network televising the fight is in the United States is unknown. HBO will not be televising any boxing events on December 18, which leaves two options - taking the fight to pay-per-view or making a deal with Showtime.

"Montreal here I come. I will leave Canada with the belts," Hopkins vowed.

Hopkins returns from a lackluster decision win over Roy Jones Jr. in April. Pascal just had the biggest win of his career a few week ago when he took an eleven round technical decision over Chad Dawson. The fight is the last dance for Hopkins. Pursuant to the contract terms of their recent fight, Pascal owes a rematch to Dawson, but the terms allow both of them the ability to take an interim fight.
