WBA/IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard 'The Alien' Hopkins (55-6-2, 32KOs), despite his many achievements and continuing to be one of the top boxers in the world at age 49, believes there are still a lot of "haters" out there.

The haters, as Hopkins views them, continuously doubt his abilities and traditionally pick against him.

On November 8th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Hopkins will face the very dangerous WBO champion Sergey Kovalev (25-0-1, 23KOs) in an HBO televised main event.

A victory over Kovalev will certainly be viewed as of the biggest achievements in Hopkins' long career.

"Maybe this one will be the one where they say 'I'll throw the towel in on being a hater' and they are no longer a hater," Hopkins told BoxingScene.com. "This is why I'm very motivated, each and every day of my life, not only to just prove people wrong but sort of change their thinking."

"There are still some hard heads out there. There are always going to be hard heads out there, because I don't understand ya'll humans. I do understand you but I don't understand your actions sometimes. But they can't understand me, and that's why I'm The Alien."
