As we reported earlier, Evander Holyfield has been suspended from fighting by the New York State Athletic Commission, all other states will comply with their ruling. Holyfield was reached at his home for his take on the NYSAC decision and he said that he plans to keep on fighting.
Evander said he disagrees with the ban, his legal team will fight the ban and he plans to continue fighting. Obviously Evander is going crazy after too many fights, he thinks that this is a conspiracy to get him out of Boxing.
"Why do they want to usher me out? What have I done to this game that they don't want me in it anymore? Do you really care about a person so much that you want to protect him from himself? Ain't that much love in the world to go against a person's will." said Holyfield
Bob Arum, head honcho at Top Rank, has told the media that a Floyd Mayweather vs. Kostya Tszyu bout is not going to happen. On the other hand, he would gladly match rising superstar Miguel Cotto with Tszyu. Regardless of who wants who, the un-moveable hurdles of the exclusive network contracts are the main issues here. Tszyu is with Showtime, Mayweather and Cotto with HBO.
"A fight with Floyd will not happen. There is not enough money to make that fight. If they want a fight with Cotto, we would gladly make that fight. I truly believe that Cotto can beat anyone at his weight" said Arum
