Danish lightweight Dennis Holbaek Pedersen, 44-3, comes back on June 9 in Aarhus on the Bettina Palle show topped by jr middleweight Reda Zam Zam. Holbaek was last seen coming in as a very late sub against then WBU 140 lb ruler Ricky Hatton back in 2004 but got stopped in the sixth. Dennis was lined up to fight on a show promoted by Anders Vester in June and has remained in training during the layoff.
The now 32-year old Dane fought his last fight for Team Palle back in 2001 and they parted ways just as a court case was about to begin. He challenged IBF 135 lb champ Paul Spadafora in 2002, eventually losing on points in that tiff. Dennis has also lost and won against tough Russian Boris Sinitsin in EBU title fights.
