Richardson Hitchins and George Kambosos Jnr both made the weight on the eve of their IBF junior welterweight title fight Saturday night at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Hitchins, 19-0 (7 KOs), came in at the 140lbs limit for his first title defense, while the former unified lightweight champion Kambosos, 22-3 (10 KOs), stepped on the scale in a Knicks No. 7 jersey, which apparently is no longer exclusive to Carmelo Anthony, weighing in at 139.4lbs.

The fight will be the first for Hitchins since winning his title in December, when he defeated Liam Paro by split decision in Puerto Rico. Hitchins, a native of the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York, will be making his first appearance in his hometown since his shutout decision win over John Bauza in February of 2023.

Kambosos, who is four years older than Hitchins at 31, is returning to the venue where he scored his biggest victory, a 2021 split decision over Teofimo Lopez to win three of the four major lightweight titles. Since then, the Sydney, Australia native has gone 2-3, losing a pair of decisions to Devin Haney and suffering an eleventh round stoppage against Vasyl Lomachenko, but rebounded in his junior welterweight debut in March, winning a unanimous decision over Jake Wyllie in Sydney.

The fight will headline a DAZN card which will begin its broadcast at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Also in action, 2020 Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz will face Japan’s Hironori Mishiro in a 12-round IBF lightweight title eliminator. Cruz, 5-0 (2 KOs), weighed in at 135lbs even, while Mishiro, 17-1-1 (6 KOs), weighed 134.6lbs.

Teremoana Teremoana, the Australian Olympic super heavyweight from the 2024 Games, weighed in at 265.6lbs for his US debut. The 27-year-old Teremoana will bring his 7-0 (7 KOs) record into a six-round contest against Aleem Whitfield, 9-0 (6 KOs), of Geneva, New York. The 35-year-old Whitfield weighed 246.2lbs.

Former American amateur standout Zaquin Moses, 3-0 (2 KOs), of nearby Newark, New Jersey will also be in action, facing Carl Rogers, 3-2, of Colorado Springs, Colorado in a six-round junior lightweight bout. Moses weighed 129.2lbs while Rogers weighed 129.6lbs.
