In Merida, Yucatán, Mexico, flyweight Hernan "Tyson" Marquez (26-0, 19KOs) stopped Nicaraguan Darwin "Finito" Zamora (16-3, 14KOs) at 56-seconds of the sixth round. A hard hook in the sixth rocked Zamora bad, and forced referee Manuel Jesus Erosa to stop the fight.

Marquez came out strong with right hooks in the first but suffered a cut on his face. He picked up the pace in the second while Zamora was trying to counter. He stunned Zamora to close the round.  Marquez used quick combinations to handle Zamora in the third but the Nicaraguan fighter held his ground in the fourth and made it a brawl. The fight saw Marquez coming on, and he finished of Zamora in the very next round.
