Toowoomba’s “The Hermanator” Herman Ene-Purcell, the man who will face NSW State of Origin captain Paul Gallen in Gallen’s Pro debut next month in Sydney, will waste no time backing up after being confirmed to fight current Queensland heavyweight champion Kyle Brumby on the undercard of “Smithy Brings the Big fights 6” on March 14 in Toowoomba.

Herman, who has two fights as a professional, is working hard on making a name for himself in boxing.

“However as much as we have signed Kyle Brumby, another great opportunity for him, our first focus is on Paul Gallen on February 19”.

Brumby, who is vastly more experienced as a professional, will be looking to use that as an advantage when he faces the younger, greener Ene-Purcell, however Herman feels that having the opportunity to make a quick ring return after the Gallen fight will benefit him and his fitness.

“I’m really looking forward to the fight with Gallen on February 19,” said Herman. “I know this is going to be a tough fight and I am sure the experience can only benefit me for my fight against Kyle Brumby”.

This fight will take place on the undercard of “Smithy Brings the Big Fights 6” which will be headlined by the return of Michael Katsidis “The Great”. The card will also feature adopted Toowoomba boy, Filipino star Jack “The Assassin” Asis as well as undefeated and current WBC youth world champion “The Great White” Brayd Smith.

Undefeated local KO artist “The Silencer” Kris George will put his “0” on the line against fellow undefeated boxer Ozan “Crash” Craddock for the Queensland Welterweight title. Current Victorian state champion and Toowoomba’s own Josh “Hitman” Webb will also step back in the ring along with fellow local Graham Blay.

Tickets to “Smithy Brings the Big fights 6” are on sale now from Smithy’s Gym where prices start at $55 for general $75 for ringside B and $95 for ringside A.
