Cruiserweight Herbie Hide has promised to knock out any individual in his path to becoming the undisputed cruiserweight champion, including fellow UK fighters Enzo Maccarinelli and David Haye, and even UK promoter Frank Warren. Hide spent most of his career as a heavyweight before moving down to the cruiserweight limit. Since returning to the ring in 2006 as a cruiser, he's won nine straight, including seven by knockout.
"I was fighting heavyweights when I was really a cruiserweight," Hide told The Sun. "Right now my main plan is to get a title at cruiserweight. I'm not thinking about heavyweights, I want to clear out the cruiserweight division. I'm ranked No2 by the WBC and in a year's time I should be cruiserweight champion of the world.
"I would knock Maccarinelli spark out and I would knock out his promoter Frank Warren as well. If Haye decides to come back down a weight, I'll knock him out, too."
